Managed by Landmark Golf Management, SilverRock Resort’s Arnold Palmer Classic Course, a current site of the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, is a challenging 7,753 yards, sprawling over 200 acres with massive native bunkers and stunning water features set against the backdrop and natural beauty of the Santa Rosa Mountains. The Clubhouse, situated in the rocky outcroppings, is a charming renovation of the former working-ranch hacienda, built by Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ahmanson of Home Savings & Loan renown. A development project funded through the City of La Quinta’s Redevelopment Agency, the master plan includes 36 holes of championship golf, a world-class practice center, retail venues, luxury and boutique hotels and a convention center.

Mountain Falls Golf Club – Pahrump, Nevada
a master planned resort and residential community

The 950 acre master planned residential golf community, created by William Lyon Homes and managed by Landmark Golf Management, offers a casual Southern Nevada lifestyle where “the grass is always greener and the stars are a little brighter.” Just 45 miles from the Las Vegas Strip, Mountain Falls is active lifestyle at its best with swimming, skating, hiking, biking and superb golf. The 18 hole championship course blends both links and traditional golf course design theories. The front nine, designed by the Nicklaus group, is a links-style course and takes full advantage of the open desert landscape. The back nine, designed by Cal Olson, is traditional in its target-style play and use of landscaping, trees and water features. The Clubhouse is distinct in its views of the 18th hole with a dramatic backdrop of the magnificent Mt. Charleston.

Apple Valley Country Club – Apple Valley, California

Apple Valley Country Club is the oldest and most storied golf course in the High Desert. Apple Valley Country Club’s golf course has a time-honored reputation for playing conditions, the “purest putting surfaces in Southern California” and weather that allows for play 365 days a year. The golf course boasts a fine balance of par 3s and par 4s with some “especially fun” par 5s on a “walking friendly” golf course. The course plays to a maximum length of 6,805 yards, par 71 and rated by SCGA at a rating of 72.3/123.

Apple Valley Country Club was established in the mid 1940s by Newton “Newt” T. Bass and Bernard J. “Bud” Westlund, oil field wildcatters who are widely considered to have created Apple Valley, California. Their pioneering spirit and foresight resulted in successful real estate development opportunities, including this 18 hole equity owned private country club in the Victorville/Apple Valley area of Southern California’s High Desert. Opened for play in 1948, the golf course was designed by William F. Bell, more commonly known as Billy Bell Jr., a mid 1900s renowned golf course architect who designed and built in excess of 50 golf courses including California Country Club, Country Club at Ranch Bernardo & Rancho Bernardo Inn, La Cumbre Country Club, Mesa Verde Country Club, Newport Beach Country Club, Red Hill Country Club and Saticoy Country Club.

The community of Apple Valley was a long-time home of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans whose mere presence encouraged an eclectic group of celebrities from Red Skelton and Anthony Quinn to Raymond Burr, Dale Robertson and Desi Arnaz and many noted professional golfers including golf’s legendary Lloyd Mangrum, a 36-time winner on the PGA Tour, to find their way to Apple Valley Country Club for the clean air quality, ideal climate and a myriad of experiences that make Apple Valley far more than just a place.
